Dream Spaces

Dream Spaces Series

We usually think of our dreams as stories we try to tell--a string of images and events that happen over time. (And our stories usually fail to convey the experience.)  In this series I withhold narrative and instead depict my dreams with their spaces and the positions of the main characters, using methods and symbology of varied disciplines: Architecture, Cartography, City Planning And Archeology. The only other element is the one-sentence title that summarizes the subject of the dream and implies place and players.

Series of 18 ink drawings (recto and verso) on Abaca paper. Each 9 x 9 inches.
